A single event can mark the beginning of a series of event which may take you through an unforgettable journey.
The Movie begins a package being given to Sonia to be delivered to the crook (Raaz). They move on to show the life of three friends Taashi (Imran), who isn’t sure about getting married to his fiancé Sonia (Shehnaz), Arup (Vir) who is just dumped by his girl friend and hates his job which stunts his creativity and then there is Nitin who eats a yummy chicken Tandoori and ends up with a upset stomach. The movie moves on with the confusion on the delivery of this package. This package lands the three friends into trouble and in comes Meneka (Poorna) to bail them out and become Taashi’s love interest.
The Movie is very high paced. There is not one dull moment. The movie runs and without an interval it give the feel of a telefilm. The style, language, look, attire, everything was evry grounded and thus felt very real and connected. The story is nothing new but it is told in a way which is very new to Bollywood and that makes it stand apart.
Director Abhinay Deo kept it very real and crisp. He did not use anything out of the box but used everything in the right proportion making it a memorable experience. The dialogues of the movie deserve a special mention; they are smart, witty, bold and really funny. Some of them will move on to change the face of Indian Cinema. The music comes next which forms an innate part of the story telling. Begining with “Bhaag DK Bose Bhaag” which has created waves all over the country and moved on to become a cult to “Jaa Chudaail” which is hilarious and scores even over Amir’s Item Number. The cast is a great ensemble of some great talents in the industry (some known and some new). Shehnaz Treasury has a small part which is fulfils well. Aditya Roy Kapoor is superb as the fat guy with the stomach cramps. Vir Das is so talented and witty and funny. He deserves a big applause for his performance in this film. Poorna is a fresh change from the other conventional female actors. Vijay Raaz gives yet another amazing performance as the English speaking goon. Finally comes Imran Khan who went out to prove a point to the audience and I think he did it just right. It was not an extra ordinary performance but definitely a competent one. But most importantly it finally helped him to break himself from the chocolate lover boy image. Only problem area would be the lack of detailing. It just seems that the story of the film was ended in a hurry. Also having Delhi in the title didn’t give the complete feel of Delhi.Delhi Belly definitely makes a statement and breaks a lot of boundaries. It gives way for cinema of our age. It is cinema for this generation. It gives you a complete feel of sheer thrill and fun.
One of your best reviews after Black Swan I feel...keep up the good work girl...

Guy Ritchie's Lock stock & 2 smokin barrels;snatch;rocknrolla .....and u will realise this(DB) is a just an indianised attempt to recreate that....and a good effort nonetheless.... in fact u can say that Guy ritchie has himself improvised on Tarantino in all his films.....tell u wot v can talk bout this all day long! :D
